Citizen’s Hose Company’s Live-in Program

LIVE-IN PROGRAM

The Citizen’s Hose Company of the Jersey Shore area is offering free student housing in exchange for ambulance coverage during available hours around the student’s school schedule.  EMS coverage will be flexible providing 2^nd due Emergency Ambulance Coverage in the Jersey Shore and surrounding response areas, along with local Routine and Emergency transports as requested.  For insurance purposes, all Live-in EMT’s will become members of the Citizen’s Hose Company.  Along with the primary responsibility of providing EMS support there will be limited chores around the Fire Station as directed by the Chief.

The Citizen’s Hose Company provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services whenever called upon. Our primary fire protection district is Jersey Shore and Salladasburg Boroughs, and all or parts of Anthony, Mifflin, Piatt, Porter, and Watson Townships. Our primary EMS district also includes Avis Borough, and Pine Creek, Cummings, Cogan House, McHenry, Pine, Nippenose, Crawford, Limestone, Brown, Greene and Woodward townships.

Our department consist of:

1 - Mobile Intensive Care Unit (Staffed 24/7)

1- Medic Vehicle (2007 Dodge Ram)

3 - BLS Ambulances

1 – Heavy Duty Rescue

                                                2 – Engines

                                                1 – Brush Truck

                                                1 – special unit

                                                1 - UTV (for forest fires and land rescues)

The Citizens Hose Company handles over 1600 EMS and Fire Incidents a year and has two stations.

Housing at Citizen’s Hose Company will include:

-         High-speed cable internet access and wireless access in the building.

-         Study room/quiet area.

-         Bunkroom and lounge area.

-         Kitchen

-         Showering and laundry facilities.

-          Personal storage area.
